Sightseeing or brunch can free up the evening

Price the complete evening for your party

For a dinner cruise, add drinks, any separately charged fees and transportation to the all-in ticket total. For a sunset cruise, add the restaurant bill and the same transport assumptions. Compare equivalent evenings rather than comparing a meal-inclusive ticket with a cruise-only fare.

Watch the boat parade from shore instead

If decorated boats are your main goal, you do not need to buy a cruise just to see the parade from the public waterfront. Savannah’s Waterfront lists November 28, 2026, from 7–9 p.m., with boats passing River Street between Eastern Wharf and the Talmadge Bridge. Its suggested viewing areas include Eastern Wharf, Plant Riverside District and Rousakis Riverfront Plaza.

Shore viewing gives you control over when to leave, food choices and a child’s bedtime. The trade-off is finding a comfortable viewing position in a busy public area, without a reserved cruise seat. Plan a restroom stop, layers and a return route; separately ticketed venues, purchases and parking may cost extra. Choose the boat only if being onboard is part of what you want.

The meeting point is the Riverboat Ticket Office at 9 East River Street. The listings advise allowing an extra 30–60 minutes for downtown parking and warn that missing the boat is not refundable. Separate your parking margin from the ticket’s boarding deadline. For a delayed arrival day, a flexible meal ashore can be a better fit than a prepaid cruise.

The operator says it sails in ordinary rain, while the captain decides about severe weather or dangerous river conditions. Its FAQ states that weather-cancelled cruises are refunded. That is different from a passenger choosing to cancel; confirm the process with your booking seller. Outdoor photographs and a particular route are never assured.
